LocationSimulator

LocationSimulator is a macOS application (10.15 and later) that lets developers change the reported GPS coordinates of a connected iOS device or an iPhoneSimulator instance without requiring a jailbreak or installing additional software on the device. It works by loading the appropriate DeveloperDiskImage for the device’s iOS version, which it can download automatically or obtain from a local Xcode installation.

The tool provides a map interface where a long press sets a new location, and users can define custom or predefined movement patterns such as walking, cycling, or driving. Arrow keys allow manual navigation, and the app supports searching for places, network‑connected devices, and dark‑mode display.

Intended for testing location‑based features, the software is released under GPL‑v3, is considered stable, and includes a preferences pane for managing DeveloperDiskImage files.
