nfov renders ASCII and ANSI art files on macOS using Electron and ansilove.js. It supports a range of extensions such as nfo, diz, asc, ans, xb, pcb, bin, tnd, idf, and adf, allowing users to view legacy text‑based graphics directly in a window. The viewer offers configurable font, size, text and background colors, selection and link colors, and optional font smoothing, with clickable links and the ability to export the rendered image as PNG.

The application bundles several classic bitmap fonts, including the Ultimate Oldschool PC Font Pack, BlockZone, a tweaked Profont for Windows, and PT Mono, giving users flexibility in how the art is displayed. Installation is simplified through Homebrew Cask, and pre‑built binaries are available via GitHub releases. Source can be built locally with standard npm commands.

nfov is released under the MIT License and is positioned as a stable, macOS‑only viewer for enthusiasts and developers who need to inspect or archive ASCII/ANSI artwork without relying on terminal emulators.
