Nudge
Window manager with keyboard shortcuts and drag-to-edge snapping.
Nudge is a macOS window manager that lets users reposition and resize windows using keyboard shortcuts or by dragging a window to a screen edge. It provides a set of predefined layouts—including halves, quarters, thirds, and two‑thirds—each accessible through a customizable shortcut, and shows a preview overlay when dragging to indicate the final position. The tool works across multiple monitors, allowing a window to be moved between displays with a repeated shortcut, and lets users exclude specific applications from its management.
The application is built in pure Swift with AppKit, avoiding external frameworks or background services, which keeps its memory footprint low. All shortcuts are fully remappable in the settings, and the software runs from the menu bar without tracking or analytics. Its source code is released under the MIT license, making it free and open‑source for anyone to inspect or modify.
