Planet
Decentralised blogs and websites powered by IPFS and Ethereum Name System
Planet is a native macOS application that lets users create and publish blogs or static websites without relying on centralized hosting. It stores site content on the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) and ties the content to an Ethereum Name System (ENS) domain, enabling access through ENS‑based gateways or direct IPNS links. The app provides a graphical interface for managing IPFS uploads, configuring ENS content‑hash records, and copying IPNS addresses for sharing.
The tool is aimed at developers, content creators, and anyone interested in decentralized web publishing who prefer a desktop workflow on macOS. By handling the technical steps of IPFS pinning and ENS record updates, it lowers the barrier to publishing on‑ decentralized infrastructure while keeping the workflow familiar to users of traditional website builders.
Planet is open source under the MIT license and is considered stable for production use. It includes documentation, a showcase of example sites, and community resources to help users get started and troubleshoot.
