Review Board

Review Board is a web‑based, self‑hostable platform for reviewing code, graphics, and documents. It tracks changes across many file types, provides a diff viewer with syntax highlighting, moved‑line detection, and indentation indicators, and records discussion and decisions attached to each review request. The system supports a wide range of source‑control backends—including Git, Mercurial, Subversion, Perforce, ClearCase, Azure DevOps, and others—either on‑premises or via hosted services such as Bitbucket, GitHub, and GitLab.

The tool is extensible through a public API and extension framework, allowing organizations to add custom review UIs, data‑analysis pipelines, or integrations without for the core code. A command‑line suite, RBTools, lets users post, land, and patch changes directly from their terminal, while optional Power Pack extensions add features like PDF/Office document review, report generation, and multi‑server scalability. Review Board is released under the MIT license, is free to use, and is positioned for projects and companies of any size.
