Streamlink Twitch GUI
Multi platform Twitch.tv browser for Streamlink
A graphical front‑end built on the Streamlink command‑line tool, this application lets users browse Twitch.tv streams without using the official website. It runs as an NW.js program written with EmberJS, Handlebars and Less, and relies on a Node‑powered Chromium engine to render the interface. The software is available for Windows, macOS and Linux, and requires Streamlink to be installed separately.
The interface provides stream discovery by popularity, game, channel or team, and supports viewing multiple streams simultaneously. Users can launch streams in any external video player of their choice, apply custom hotkeys, and receive desktop notifications when followed channels go live. Additional options include language filtering, per‑channel settings, theme selection and configurable chat integration.
By offloading playback to external players, the tool reduces CPU, memory and GPU load compared with the native Twitch web player, helping to avoid buffering and high‑resource usage on desktop and mobile devices. It also offers command‑line parameters for automation and supports multiple languages.
