Swads provides a native macOS and iOS client for managing Synology Download Station. It lets users control download tasks, view status, and edit settings for one or multiple NAS instances, supporting both QuickConnect and direct host addresses. The app is built entirely in Swift and runs on macOS 15+, iOS 18+, and iPadOS 18+, offering dark‑mode widgets and Dynamic Island integration.

The client focuses on performance, claiming up to seven‑times faster QuickConnect interactions and presenting task details such as activity trackers, peers, and file previews. Additional utilities include a Synology NAS overview, QuickConnect data center information, user quota monitoring, two‑factor authentication, and iCloud sync. Appearance can be customized with theme switching and personalized icons.

Swads is positioned as a modern, intuitively redesigned alternative to existing web‑based controls, targeting users who prefer a desktop or mobile application for remote download management on their Synology devices.
