Stash provides a graphical interface for monitoring, capturing, and controlling network traffic on macOS using Apple’s Network Extension Framework. It can redirect or block connections, and its built‑in HTTP engine allows inspection and modification of requests and responses, including JavaScript‑based handling of web traffic.

The application stores its rules in YAML configuration files, enabling the same setup to be shared across different platforms such as PCs, Macs, Android devices, and routers. It also bundles auxiliary tools like speed testing, route table inspection, iPerf, and network diagnostics, offering a compact toolbox for everyday network management.

For HTTPS traffic, Stash can perform a man‑in‑the‑middle decryption, exposing request details and allowing scripted rewrites to remove trackers or ads. All captured traffic is logged and displayed, making debugging and analysis straightforward for users who need fine‑grained visibility into their internet connections.
