(Un)colored
Rich text (HTML & Markdown) editor that saves documents with themes
A desktop editor that lets users create rich‑text documents using either HTML or Markdown syntax, while storing the files together with a visual theme. The program runs on macOS, Windows and Linux and saves each document so it can be opened directly in a web browser with the same styling applied. Themes also control layout aspects such as colors, font sizes and margins, and can be swapped repeatedly without altering the underlying content.
The interface is minimal: only the text, caret and cursor are shown while writing, with toolbars and menus appearing on selection or when the cursor moves to the window top. Standard formatting tools (bold, italic, links) are available alongside web‑oriented embeds like YouTube, Vimeo, SoundCloud and social‑media posts, and emojis can be inserted directly.
For note‑taking, the window can stay on top and more than forty keyboard and mouse shortcuts accelerate entry. The editor offers a WYSIWYG experience for Markdown files, avoiding the split preview panes common in other tools. The software is released as free, open‑source, and is currently in a stable yet beta‑stage release.
