BBackupp

BBackupp provides a macOS‑based utility for creating backups of iOS devices. It can perform one‑time or scheduled backups to local storage, and it supports wireless operation by specifying the device’s IP address. The software tracks progress for each file, encrypts the backup data, and can store snapshots on various destinations such as SFTP servers or S3‑compatible services. Notifications are sent at key stages of the backup process, and a simple health‑check endpoint is included.

The tool includes a “Transferable Pair Record” feature that lets a user export a device pairing record from one Mac and import it on another, facilitating setup across multiple machines. It also integrates with MuxProxy to enable device discovery when mDNS is unavailable, allowing connections through tunnels like Tailscale or ZeroTier. App installer files can be downloaded automatically from the App Store as part of the backup.

BBackupp does not include a restoration workflow; users are directed to the separate MobileTransfer project for that purpose. The current version is fully open‑source, though the author notes limited future maintenance and support. Installation is available via Homebrew or direct download from the project's release page.
