CasaOS

CasaOS provides a self‑hosted personal cloud environment that runs on a wide range of hardware, including Raspberry Pi, Intel NUC and ZimaBoard, and supports Ubuntu, Debian, Raspberry Pi OS and CentOS. It is distributed under the Apache‑2.0 license and can be installed with a single command line, offering a stable, open‑source platform for managing files, backups and network‑wide sharing without subscription fees.

The system centers on a Docker‑based application ecosystem, pre‑installing more than twenty containers and exposing an additional fifty community‑verified apps through an integrated store. Users can add or remove containers, expand storage with additional disks, and access services from phones, TVs, VR headsets or remote browsers, all through a flexible web dashboard and optional command‑line interface.

CasaOS emphasizes simplicity and privacy: it synchronises data locally, avoids external SaaS traffic, and supports unlimited file formats with continuous 24 × 7 availability. Its open architecture encourages tinkering and extension, making it suitable for hobbyists and developers who want full control over a home‑hosted cloud solution.
