HomelabOS
Offline privacy-centric data-center. Deploy over 100 services with a few commands.
HomelabOS provides an offline‑first, privacy‑centric personal data centre that lets users self‑host more than a hundred common applications, ranging from email and chat to media streaming and home automation. Installation is scripted to a single command, and the system includes automated backups with restic and optional remote storage via MinIO. Services can be exposed as Tor hidden services, eliminating the need for public ports or a bastion server, while a Terraform‑driven bastion option is also available for reverse‑proxy configuration.
The platform is built for individuals or small groups who want to retain full control over their data and avoid reliance on external SaaS providers. It bundles industry‑standard security defaults, supports easy restore of the entire stack, and can operate entirely on a local LAN even when the internet is unavailable.
HomelabOS is released under the MIT licence, is free‑as‑speech, and requires no subscription. It is a stable, self‑hostable utility that can be deployed on hardware the user controls, offering a private alternative to mainstream cloud services.
