Minitube

Minitube is a native client for watching YouTube videos on macOS, Windows, and Linux. It replaces the web browser interface with a lightweight application that lets users type a keyword and receive a continuous stream of videos, automatically playing one after another. The program does not require Flash and runs without logging into a YouTube account, offering a more private viewing experience.

The client is designed to consume less CPU and memory than a typical browser, which helps preserve battery life and keep laptops cool. It includes simple filters for inappropriate content, making it suitable for children, and provides channel subscription support with notifications for new uploads.

Minitube aims to deliver a TV‑like experience, focusing on ease of use and minimal on. It is distributed for Windows 10+, macOS 10.15+, and recent Ubuntu/Debian releases, and can be built from source for other Linux systems.
