Replicator

Tool to migrate data granularly between Jamf Pro servers

Source

Replicator is a macOS‑based utility for synchronizing Jamf Pro objects between servers or from XML exports to a target Jamf Pro instance. It allows users to export selected items—such as computers, iOS devices, groups, policies, and configuration profiles—store them locally, and then upload them to another server, updating existing objects that share the same name. The application also supports deleting objects on a destination server.

The tool provides a graphical interface where credentials can be shown or hidden, and it lets administrators assign replicated items to specific sites. Users can manage multiple source and destination servers, remove entries with a modifier key, and view raw export folders for file handling. Telemetry data is collected anonymously by default, with an opt‑out option in the settings.

Replicator’s functionality is limited by the Jamf Pro API: passwords, LDAPS certificates, certain icons, and some payload types are not transferred, and only AFP/SMB shares are supported. Smart groups, nested groups, and objects with duplicate or trailing‑space names may require multiple runs to resolve dependencies, and package contents must be transferred by separate tools.
