Yako
A beautiful browser start page for Microsoft users & admins
Yako replaces the default browser new‑tab page with a clean, customizable start screen aimed at Microsoft users and administrators. It surfaces shortcuts to frequently used Microsoft services such as Outlook, OneDrive, Copilot, Loop, and To Do, and lets users add any of the 900+ Microsoft portals, blades, and admin centers via a right‑click search interface. The page can be set as the default new tab in Edge, Chrome, or Firefox and does not collect user data.
The interface includes optional background media, a digital or analog world‑clock widget, and a Markdown‑enabled notes panel, all of which can be rearranged by drag‑and‑drop. Dark mode follows the system setting or can be toggled manually. Keyboard‑first navigation lets users search, filter, and open shortcuts without using the mouse, and settings can be exported or imported for easy migration.
Built on the open‑source Bonjourr framework, Yako is distributed under an open‑source license and positioned as an experimental productivity tool for those who want a Microsoft‑centric, ad‑free new‑tab experience.
